Gifting Pockets

I thought these were the cutest things when I saw them in the latest Cloth, Paper, Scissors Gift Magazine for 2011.

 I save denim jeans - I cut the jeans up into 5" squares and have a pile of pockets just waiting for something to do!  I painted each pocket with white paint, sprinkled some glitter onto the wet paint.

Once dried, I added a snowman - embellished with fringe, beads, & buttons..  Each pocket has a piece of flannel for the back of the pocket.  I added a wire for hanging. 

I've added a stuffed candy cane for the picture but will soon add some goodies and give them for gifts.  I still need to do a little shopping, how about you?
